q&a
  • Why should I have professional portraits?
  • More time spent with you
in each session, making sure we capture you in that perfect moment to treasure on canvas forever.
  • More poses
so you don't have 10 pictures of you that all look the same.
  • More effort
We have professional-grade equipment at a studio that is built around making the perfect portraits. We also use a state-of-the-art digital lab.
  • More experience
Bill Jones has been taking portraits for almost 30 years. Rest assured that he isn't some amateur who jumped on the digital photographer bandwagon like many of the photographers in the Ark-La-Tex. His award-winning work speaks for itself.

Photography has changed... since your parents had their portraits taken in high school. A quick head shot in the school gym was a big deal back in the day. In those times, photo-development was a very time consuming project. Photographers had to use hundreds of rolls of fill and develop each and every photograph by hand.

Today, however, digital camera technology has made talking the kinds of pictures that school photographers capture easier than ever. In fact, most high school students with a digital camera can recreate the level of quality you get with school photos.

Kinda explains why there are so many self-proclaimed "professional photographers" now...

The point is a matter of putting a disk in their computer and hitting print. At most, their work takes only a few minutes.

And yet... some settle with that level of quality. Some settle for a photographer who only takes a few if not only a single head shot, and hands them a print, spending maybe only 30 seconds with you and 5 minutes in a lab to mail you what is supposed to be a timeless piece of your personal history for you, your family, and friends, to treasure for the rest of your life.

We think you deserve more than that.

And that's what we strive for here at Bill Jones Senior Portraits; more.
