Outdoor Studio Tour

Since the days of making portraits in the dining room in our original studio in Greenacres Place, Bill Jones Portrait Design has come a long way.

Our studio is located just off Black Bayou and encompasses more than 5 acres of land. We have 3 buildings from which we make your portraits come to life. Our residential gallery is where we sit down and plan with you personally what your portraits will look like. Just down the lane is our studio building, where we capture your indoor portraits. We built our studio in the style of Californian mission architecture of the 1700s, using authentic Old St. Louis brick. The columns in the picture on the left are 12-foot tall and provide portrait backgrounds of a truly majestic nature.

Quarter Mile Shorefront

As mentioned earlier, our studio is located just off Black Bayou, and when we say just off, we mean we are built right on the edge of the water. We have two docks and a boathouse from which you can have classical portraits made of you sitting or standing, or if you're the adventureous type, you can even bring your boat or jetski and we can make a portrait of you pulling your favorite stunt on the water!

Wildflower Garden

Professionally maintained by a landscaping staff, our gardens are filled with all sorts of exotic wildflowers and plantlife. Combined with the bayou shoreline, the view we can capture is a wonderous sight to behold. Just click the picture on the left to see what we mean.

The English Cottage

Between the main residential gallery and the studio building, we have many different structures of various architecture styles. One of those structures is the English Cottage. The shutters used on this building are made of cypress and came from New Orleans. They are over 150 years old.

The Old General Store

Inspired by the general stores on Route 66 Bill grew up around, this building gives your portraits a warm bit of nostalgia. The original barn that this store is made from was built in 1905. Some of the signs and memorabillia we have are actually from Route 66.
